"Don't let your mind get in the way of what your body can do."
My name is Lisa Fisher, owner of 6Point Athletes.
I am a certified Personal trainer, Sports Performance Specialist, and Strength and Conditioning Consultant. It is my job to challenge you, to get you outside of your comfort zone, to push you to that next level, to develop your body to help you excel in your sport, and to teach you how to maintain a strong and healthy lifestyle.
I am excited to get to know you and to discover together the true athlete that’s within you.
So what do you say?… let’s do this.
A little more about me....
I was born and raised outside of Minneapolis to a sports loving family. I spent many years watching my brother play hockey and my sister play softball. When I got older, I got into my own sports of playing basketball and rugby.
After high school, I attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I became a teen coordinator and certified as a group fitness instructor. I used that certification to help develop a program that taught teens how to properly workout in the weight room and learn about overall fitness.
I became a teen director for a few years at the YMCA and then moved on to being the executive director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Minneapolis location.
It is there that I met my husband and became a stay-at-home mom of two kids. In 2016, I trained and ran my first half and full marathons. It was these races that got me back into the fitness world.
I recertified as a group fitness instructor and taught various classes from Boot Camp to Strength Training classes. I knew that teaching fitness and healthy living was my true passion but so was working with youth. Once I was certified as a personal trainer, I was able to take my two passions and create 6Point Athletes.
It is my goal to help as many youth athletes as I can to achieve their physical goals in a challenging and healthy way, and have them take what they learn from me to last a lifetime.
